Andrew T.N

Abstract:
This article explores the historical roots of climate change awareness, tracing back to ancient civilizations and the scientific revolution of the 19th century. It highlights key milestones in climate studies, such as the proposal of the "greenhouse effect" and the establishment of the IPCC. The article defines climate change as a prolonged alteration in climate conditions caused by natural variability or human activities, particularly the increase in greenhouse gas emissions. It emphasizes the need for a global effort to reduce emissions, transition to renewable energy, and adopt sustainable land-use practices. The Paris Agreement, aimed at limiting global warming, is also discussed as a crucial step in addressing climate change on a global scale.
