Abstract:
In Nigeria, gender inequality is pervasive, with women experiencing unequal opportunities and consequences. The study concentrated on organizational effectiveness and gender discrimination in Abia State's public hospitals. The purpose of this study is to investigate how gender discrimination affects organizational performance in Abia State's public hospitals. This study used a quantitative approach to its research methodology, and questionnaires were used to collect data. The total population used for this study is 3,220 and the study adopted the Taro Yamane formula to determine the sample size of 356 employees. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and the hypothesis was tested using Pearson Product Moment Correlation. The finding revealed that gender discrimination negatively affects organizational performance, including operational efficiency, corporate prestige, and decreased customer satisfaction. The study highlights the importance of addressing gender discrimination in the workplace to enhance organizational performance.
