Abstract:
This study examines the challenges and opportunities of the Social Sciences curriculum and its impact on generation Z. The Social Sciences (IPS) curriculum continues to undergo development and changes to answer the challenges and social dynamics that are developing. This study discusses the latest issues and trends in the development of social studies curriculum, with an emphasis on the latest research. The method used in this study is qualitative-descriptive. The result obtained is that the Social Studies Curriculum needs to overcome challenges related to technological advancement and social change in the lives of Generation Z, while using the existing opportunities to improve their learning. The integration of technology in social studies learning and the use of appropriate approaches can help Generation Z understand social issues in a relevant, engaging, and effective way.
