Abstract:
Respiratory involvement is the most common extra-articular manifestation in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The severity of "rheumatoid lung" is primarily attributed to diffuse infiltrative or interstitial pneumonitis. The prevalence of pulmonary involvement has long been underestimated but is currently increasing due to advances in thoracic radiological imaging, particularly with computed tomography (CT).Our study involves a retrospective analysis of 38 cases of rheumatoid arthritis (meeting ACR/EULAR 2009 criteria) with documented pulmonary involvement, collected from the Radiology Department of CHU Hassan II in Fes over a 3-year period from January 2020 to December 2023. Sociodemographic and clinical data were gathered. All patients underwent both chest radiography and thoracic CT scans.
