Abstract:
The study investigates the relationship between Domestic Labour Force and Gross Domestic Product in Uganda for the period 1991 - 2022. The major objective of this paper is assessing the causality of DLF and GDP. This study hypothesized positive and significant connection between DLF and economic growth. The Researcher used Augmented Dickey-Fuller Unit-root approach in checking the stationarity of both variables. Also Error correction model was employed to check the short-term and long-term outcomes of the time series on another. The findings of Error correction model revealed a positively significant connection both short-term and long-term between Domestic Labour Force and GDP. In this case, there is a failure to accept null hypothesis because the expected relationship is achieved. From the above results, policy makers are recommended to encourage and improve on the vocational skills of the people in the country.
