Abstract:
This attempted to assess the factors affecting the Contribution of Livestock market cooperatives in enhancing the livestock market chain in Pastoralist communities in the West Guji Zone, Oromia region, Ethiopia. The data was collected through a quantitative and qualitative method. One hundred forty-four people were chosen for this study using the purposive sample technique and were questioned using a pre-tested structured questionnaire. In addition to the formal questionnaire, key informant interviews and group discussions were used during data collection. The collected data were analysed using both descriptive and inferential statistics. The research findings show that infrastructure, market information, financial challenges, and lack of adequate technical support are significant factors that affecting the Livestock market cooperative's in the livestock market chain in Pastoralist communities in the West Guji Zone.
