Abstract:
Effective supervision is crucial for maintaining and enhancing the quality of education, ensuring that educational standards and curricula are consistently implemented and improved. In Bangladesh, Upazila and District education offices play a pivotal role in this process by overseeing educational practices, providing support and training to teachers, and ensuring compliance with national educational policies and regulations. This article critically examines the legal aspects governing the supervision of secondary education in Bangladesh. It delves into the existing rules, regulations, and guidelines governing educational oversight, focusing on the roles of District and Upazila Secondary Education offices. The study relies primarily on secondary literature to analyze how these regulatory frameworks impact the quality of secondary education. Through a systematic review of relevant sources, the article aims to highlight the critical factors that influence educational standards and propose improvements to current supervisory practices.
