Abstract:
This study investigated the profound impact of automation and remote work on organizational structures and talent management practices. The findings revealed significant changes across various aspects of organizational operations, highlighting the need for adaptation and strategic adjustments. Automation significantly impacted organizational structures, leading to departmental restructuring, job role redefinition or elimination, and changes in decision-making processes. This shift is supported by Organizational Change Theory, Sociotechnical Systems Theory, and Contingency Theory. The study also found that remote work significantly influenced talent management practices, with a strong positive correlation between employee engagement and changes in performance evaluation methods, recruitment practices, and employee satisfaction. This finding aligns with Social Exchange Theory and Goal Setting Theory. The study's findings underscore the importance of a strategic approach to navigating these transformative trends. Organizations must embrace a proactive mindset, investing in employee training, developing new leadership skills, and fostering a culture of collaboration and communication. By adapting to the changing landscape of work, organizations can harness the potential of automation and remote work to enhance efficiency, improve productivity, and create a more flexible and engaging work environment for their employees. Ultimately, the future of work is characterized by a dynamic interplay between technological advancements and evolving human needs. Organizations that successfully navigate these complexities will be well-positioned to thrive in the evolving landscape of the future of work.
