Title: The Effectiveness of Audio Visual Media Podcasts on Students Learning Outcomes in History Subjects

Abstract:
This study verifies the use of audio-visual podcasts based on the inquiry model on the learning outcomes of class XI students in history at SMA Negeri Pakusari. The population of this study was all class XI from XI1 to XI8 with a total of 278 students, through a homogeneity test, a sample of four classes was obtained which had almost the same average value, so that class XI1, XI3 as an experimental class with a total number of students of 68 people and class XI5, XI6 as a control class with a total number of students of 68 people.The study used a quasi-experimental design and was analyzed using the ANCOVA test. The results showed that the use of this podcast significantly improved student learning outcomes (sig 0.000 and 0.035). The effect is in the moderate category with a partial eta squared of 0.033 for learning outcomes. The average value of the control class, which uses power point media based on the problem-based learning model, is 83.278 for learning outcomes. The experimental class using podcast media has an average of 90.565 for learning outcomes. In conclusion, the use of podcasts based on the inquiry model has a significant impact on student learning outcomes, making it an effective alternative in history learning in high school. Therefore, audio-visual podcasts are recommended as a history learning medium that prioritizes improving learning outcomes.
