Abstract:
This study investigated the moderating role of sociability in predicting grit among 338 Filipino senior high school students. Positive and statistically significant correlations were found between sociability and grit scores (Pearson's R = 0.0198, p < .001). Further analysis using linear regression with age as a covariate confirmed that sociability had a positive and statistically significant influence on grit (? = .198, p < .001), explaining a meaningful portion of the variance (Rē = 0.0394). These findings suggest that higher levels of sociability predict increased grit among senior high school students, even after controlling for age. However, more research is needed to explore the mechanisms underlying this relationship and its potential implications for academic performance and success.
