Abstract:
?bstr?ct: The prolifer?tion of the ?utomotive industry h?s ushered in ?n er? of unprecedented mobility, with over 1.4 billion vehicles tr?versing the globe in 2021. In t?ndem, the dem?nd for tires h?s surged, re?ching ?pproxim?tely 1.6 billion units sold worldwide. This surge in tire production h?s left ?n indelible m?rk on the environment, ?s ?n estim?ted 3.5 billion tires now popul?te the pl?net. The result?nt ch?llenge of m?n?ging tire w?ste looms l?rge, prompting ? critic?l ex?min?tion of the environment?l ?nd he?lth r?mific?tions ?ssoci?ted with tire combustion. This ?rticle undert?kes ? comprehensive explor?tion of the environment?l ?nd he?lth implic?tions of tire combustion, ?n issue ex?cerb?ted by the ?l?rming frequency of vehicle fires. ?pproxim?tely 279 million w?ste tires ?re disposed of ?nnu?lly in the United St?tes ?lone, equiv?lent to over 4 million tons of scr?p, posing ? signific?nt environment?l ch?llenge. The rese?rch ?ims to unr?vel the complex web of issues surrounding tire w?ste, shedding light on the ?l?rming frequency of vehicle fires ?nd the subsequent rele?se of h?rmful subst?nces into the environment.
