Abstract:
Preeclampsia, a life-threatening condition affecting pregnant women and their fetuses, is particularly prevalent in low- and middle-income countries. Despite advancements in diagnostic methods, current techniques for predicting and preventing preeclampsia have shown limited precision, often requiring high technical skills, internet access, or relying on a single parameter. Preeclampsia is characterized by metabolic abnormalities, an increased inflammatory response, endothelial dysfunction, and hypertension caused by elevated peripheral vascular resistance. Early detection is crucial, but the delayed onset of clinical symptoms often leads to late diagnoses. This project aims to develop a multi-parameter approach for predicting the likelihood of preeclampsia, offering a more reliable, accessible solution that can be used both during pregnancy and postpartum. By incorporating multiple indicators, this method will provide a practical tool for healthcare workers in resource-limited settings, improving early stratification and management of preeclampsia to enhance maternal and fetal health outcomes.
