Abstract:
This article provides a comprehensive analysis of the critical issues undermining democratic governance in Zimbabwe and Africa, including power imbalance, judicial favoritism, electoral manipulation, repression of peaceful protest, and corruption and impunity. Through a detailed examination of these issues, the article highlights the ways in which those in power manipulate institutions and processes to maintain their grip on power, perpetuate human rights abuses, and hinder economic development. The article argues that a genuine commitment to democratic governance and power balance is essential for building a brighter future for the people of Zimbabwe and Africa. Recommendations for reform and accountability are provided, including comprehensive electoral reform, strengthening of institutions, protection of human rights, increased transparency and accountability, and genuine commitment to democratic governance and power balance.
