Abstract:
This comprehensive review examines the concept of Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs) in public administration, highlighting the benefits and drawbacks of this increasingly popular approach. Through a detailed analysis of existing literature and real-world examples, this study identifies key factors influencing the success of PPPs, including clear contractual agreements, transparency and public engagement, robust regulatory frameworks, and capacity building for public officials. The review also explores the challenges and limitations of PPPs, such as loss of public control and accountability, potential for profit-driven decision-making, and conflicts of interest. By synthesizing the findings of existing research and practical experiences, this study provides a nuanced understanding of the complex interplay between public and private sectors in PPPs. The conclusions of this review offer valuable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and researchers seeking to harness the potential of PPPs to improve public services and infrastructure, while protecting the public interest.
