Abstract:
The efficiency of the use of inputs in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector is an important aspect to improve business competitiveness and sustainability. This article reviews the related literature to identify the key factors that affect the efficiency of the use of inputs in food MSMEs, strategies that can be applied to improve efficiency, and the resulting impact. Through a literature review, it was found that the efficiency of using inputs was influenced by several factors, such as resource management, production technology, and quality of raw materials. Good resource management allows for optimal allocation of raw materials and labor, while the right production technology can reduce waste and improve the quality of the final product. In addition, the selection of quality raw materials also plays an important role in an efficient production process. Regarding strategies to improve efficiency, training and skills development for the workforce, investing in more advanced technology, and implementing more effective management practices are often the keys to success. The results of implementing this strategy can increase productivity, reduce production costs, and ultimately increase profitability. As a result, MSMEs in the food sector can be more competitive in an increasingly competitive market, expand market reach, and improve the sustainability of their business in the long term. This article provides in-depth insights for food MSME actors regarding the importance of efficient use of inputs and practical ways to achieve them.
