Abstract:
Colonic atresia is a rare congenital malformation, representing approximately 1 to 5% of cases of intestinal atresia. It can be suspected and diagnosed by ultrasound at the end of the second and third trimester. Obstetric-surgical consultation is the key to success here. Eliminating a general disease with a poor prognosis, combating prematurity and entrusting the child immediately to the surgeon are the main objectives to be achieved. The surgical procedure will specify the type of atresia, its location, its unique or multiple nature and its length, the surgical procedure of which depends on the etiology. We thought it would be interesting to document a clinical case of colonic atresia diagnosed antenatally and discuss the diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic aspects.
