Abstract:
This study examined the impact of caregiver-child interaction and language development on young learners aged 3-4 years. This study aimed to understand the dynamics of such interactions and provide evidence-based recommendations for parents and educators to foster rich and responsive communication practices at home and in early environments. Qualitative methods were employed in this research, utilizing semi-structured interview guides, observation checklists, and field notes as primary research instruments to gather data on the impact of caregiver-child interaction and language development in young learners. Based on the results, it was concluded that caregiver-child interaction is essential for the early language development of young learners. It is also evident that home and school environments offer rich and diverse communication opportunities. Ultimately, consistent, engaging, and meaningful interactions from parents and teachers play a vital role in fostering foundational language skills in children, emphasizing the importance of collaborative support in early childhood education.
