Abstract:
: This study focuses on the design and experimental validation of a shared cloud-based software architecture for the academic management of universities in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). In response to the fragmentation of existing systems and the administrative burdens that hinder student mobility and institutional efficiency, the research proposes a cloud-computing model tailored to the Congolese context. The methodological approach is grounded in design science research, combining analysis of the current system, layered software modeling, prototype development, and experimental validation. The system integrates key features such as online enrollment, course management, grade tracking, credit transfers, and the secure issuance of diplomas. The expected outcomes include enhanced administrative efficiency, improved transparency, cost reduction, and facilitation of academic mobility. This contribution is both scientific, by proposing an adapted architectural model, and practical, by providing a functional tool to support the modernization of the Congolese higher education system.
