Abstract:
This study analyzes the general context of conflict in Sudan by tracing its historical, political, and Social roots, as well as the current dynamics shaping it during the post-2019 transitional phase. The research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the nature of the conflict and the factors contributing to its persistence, while exploring the prospects for sustaining peace amid ongoing challenges. The study employs a descriptive-analytical approach based on academic literature, international reports, and local sources. The findings reveal that Sudan's conflict transcends its military and political dimensions, reflecting a structural crisis in managing diversity, resources, and power. We argue that achieving sustainable peace requires institutional reforms, social justice, and an integrated approach that links development with national reconciliation.
