Abstract:
This study investigates the role of outsourcing in shaping organizational resilience among Fintech companies operating in Delta State, Nigeria. Drawing on the Resource-Based View and Dynamic Capabilities Theory, the research examines how core competencies and brand compatibility, two key dimensions of outsourcing, affect resilience outcomes, namely robustness and adaptive capability. Using a quantitative research design and data from 50 respondents from 5 Fintech firms analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0, the findings reveal that both outsourcing dimensions significantly influence organizational resilience. Firms that emphasize internal strategic strengths and align outsourcing relationships with their brand identity demonstrate greater stability under stress and heightened responsiveness to change. These insights offer practical guidance for Fintech leaders seeking to enhance resilience in volatile environments and contribute to the broader discourse on strategic resource management in emerging digital economies. It is therefore recommended that Fintech companies should focus on strengthening their internal expertise in critical areas such as cybersecurity, compliance, and product development. By retaining control over these core functions, firms will enhance their capacity to maintain stability during unforeseen disruptions.
