Abstract:
This research aims at transforming the learning of Social Studies especially on History for tenth-grade students in an Indonesian classroom by way of a behavioristic approach based on the Merdeka Curriculum. The primary goal is to explore the ways behavioristic learning methods can be used to cultivate deep learning and character development in today's students. The behaviorist influence emphasizes overt changes in behaviour through repeated reinforcement, feedback and practice repetitions. Behavioristic approaches aim at measurable differences in behavior by means of reinforcement, feedback, and routine habits of learning. These strategies are then applied in learning History through structured learning activities, positive reinforcement, and developing disciplined and responsible learning behavior. The application of this approach for the Merdeka Curriculum can be expected to empower students not only to master historical knowledge at the cognitive level but also to integrate moral and social values inherent in history. The results highlight that the inclusion of behavioristic principles in History learning increases meaningful learning experiences, strengthens students' moral character, and is in line with the goals of deep learning for future education.
