Abstract:
In the current state of turbulence and instability globally, the global oil market is faced with a new set of challenges and threats that significantly contribute to economies globally as well as the global economic system. Notably, the rising demand for oil, accompanied by fluctuations in crude oil prices and instability in oil-producing countries, jeopardizes both international relations and stability globally. One of the key concerns is the heterogeneity of the global oil market, which creates national dependence on few countries for oil, thereby threatening the stability of oil supplies. This current article identifies the current models of the global oil market. Traditional models often times become ineffective in understanding the current complexities of the oil market as well as the current trends of the global oil market in the coming years. This study seeks to investigate key developments that define the global oil market.
