Abstract:
This study examines the impact of performance management and organizational survival: management by wondering about. It explores the critical role of organizational survival in a highly competitive and dynamic business environment. It highlights that survival depends on effective strategies, innovation, resource utilization, and employee attitudes, emphasizing that performance management is essential for sustaining long-term viability. The concept of performance management is examined as a systematic approach to proportional efficiency and adaptability. The study discusses the significance of leadership qualities and management approaches, particularly Management by Wondering About (MBWA), in fostering a culture of trust, agility, and innovation. It underscores that integrating informal management practices with formal performance systems can improve responsiveness and organizational resilience, thereby increasing the likelihood of survival amidst external challenges. Ultimately, the study advocates for a holistic approach that combines strategic performance management, leadership development, and adaptive management practices to ensure organizational longevity in an increasingly competitive landscape.
