Abstract:
- The development of motor skills must be specifically tailored to the age and physical fitness of each judoka and police officer. Coaches and instructors must balance different types of training to ensure optimal development of all necessary skills in both areas. The aim of this systematic review is to analyze existing research dealing with the motor skills of judokas and police officers, and identify key factors that influence their performance. Research data for the purposes of this review were collected through electronic search engines such as Google Scholar, relevant journals in the field of sports sciences, as well as scientific publications that could answer the problem posed. The selection of papers was carried out in the time range from 1987 to 2018. Based on the set criteria, 10 scientific papers were analyzed. The research results show that the development of motor skills is essential for success in judo and for the efficient performance of operational tasks by police officers. In judo, the integration of different types of training, from coordination, strength, endurance to mental preparation, allows athletes to improve their performance, reduce the risk of injury and achieve long-term success in this demanding sport. Similarly, police officers require a wide range of physical abilities, from cardiorespiratory endurance to functional strength and agility, to effectively respond to professional challenges. Although physical training is considered the basis for success in both professions, the proper coordination of all aspects of training, including technique and tactics in judo, and the specific functional requirements of police officers, is essential for achieving optimal results.
