Abstract:
Over the past decade, the Chinese smartphone industry has witnessed remarkable growth, with brands like Huawei emerging as global competitors. Huawei Nova 7i, a mid-range smartphone, has gained significant traction in the Pakistani market, particularly in Islamabad. This study critically examines the marketing strategies employed by Huawei for the Nova 7i in Islamabad, focusing on the 4P framework Product, Price, Place, and Promotion-alongside a SWOT analysis to assess the brand's competitive positioning. The research is based on primary data collected through structured questionnaires from university students, combined with secondary sources such as industry reports and marketing analyses. The findings indicate that while Huawei Nova 7i has successfully captured market share through competitive pricing and feature-rich offerings, it faces substantial challenges, including limited promotional efforts, inadequate brand differentiation, and an evolving competitive landscape dominated by brands like Samsung, Oppo, and Xiaomi. The study highlights key marketing gaps and offers strategic recommendations to enhance Huawei's market presence in Islamabad. These include strengthening digital marketing strategies, improving customer engagement, expanding online retail partnerships, and refining brand positioning. The insights from this research contribute to a broader understanding of marketing strategies for Chinese smartphone brands in emerging markets and offer practical solutions for sustaining long-term growth.
