Abstract:
The transport and logistics sector is vital for the EU economy but poses significant risks for workers. This paper studies labor protection in transport and logistics, focusing on road transport in the EU. It examines current protection measures, their gaps, and offers improvement suggestions. Methods include literature review, analysis of legislation, and interviews. Findings show current measures are insufficient, especially in safety and health, and recommend enhanced training, stricter regulations, and better monitoring systems.telematics systems can help monitor driver behavior, vehicle conditions, and environmental factors, thus enhancing overall safety.
