Abstract:
Malignant germ cell tumors of the ovary are rare, reanatomoclinicalf ovarian neoplasias. However, they represent the most frequently observed type in children and adolescents and constitute approximately two out of three ovarian tumors occurring in the first two decades of life. Histologically, they are characterized by significant polymorphism and are sometimes mixed, associating at least two distinct tumor constituents. Exceptionally, they can be associated with deep endometriosis. We report the case of a 17-year-old girl who underwent surgery for a large left ovarian tumor revealed by isolated pelvic pain and, on histological examination, indicated a mixed germ cell tumor associating a yolk sac tumor and a high-grade immature teratoma. Through this observation, we propose to discuss the anatomoclinical particularities of these tumors, emphasizing the particularity in the case of association with endometriosis.
