Abstract:
The advent of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 has brought about significant advancements in technology, automation, and data-driven decision-making. As organizations strive to leverage these technologies to enhance their business values, the effective integration of knowledge management systems (KMS) becomes crucial. This research aims to propose an explainable Artificial Intelligence (XAI) framework that enables the seamless integration of KMS with Industrial Revolution 4.0 technologies, fostering enhanced business values through improved knowledge utilization and decision-making processes. The proposed framework encompasses a holistic approach to combine the benefits of KMS and Industrial Revolution 4.0 technologies, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. By employing XAI techniques, the framework aims to enhance transparency, interpretability, and trustworthiness in the decision-making processes, thereby facilitating effective knowledge utilization and value creation within organizations. The research methodology will involve a comprehensive literature review of XAI, knowledge management, and Industrial Revolution 4.0 technologies. The identified gaps and challenges will form the basis for the development of the proposed XAI framework. A proof-of-concept implementation of the framework will be conducted, leveraging real-world case studies and data from organizations that have implemented KMS and Industrial Revolution 4.0 technologies. The evaluation of the framework will involve qualitative and quantitative analysis, assessing its effectiveness in improving decision-making processes and enhancing business values.
