Abstract:
The objective of this research is to determine the results of analyzing Time Deposits using the Present Value Method at PT. BPR Artha Waringin Jaya. This research combines two existing research methods, namely qualitative and quantitative research. It aims to analyze and reveal the phenomenon regarding the analysis of Time Deposits using the Present Value Method. The researcher acts as the primary research instrument (human instrument) by conducting the research process directly as well as theoretically, collecting various materials or data related to the research focus, processing and analyzing the data, and drawing conclusions independently. The research results show the calculation of banking investment activities at PT. BPR Artha Waringin Jaya, particularly time deposit investments. It was found that the interest rates for time deposits at PT. BPR Artha Waringin Jaya vary depending on the term, with 1 month at 6%, 3 months at 6.25%, and 6 months at 6.5%. The rate of return or interest rate is in accordance with the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), whose interest rate policies can fluctuate over time. However, the time deposit terms are differentiated into 1, 3, and 6 months. Thus, time deposit investments are considered profitable due to their term duration. Generally, banks offer higher interest rates for longer-term deposits.
