Abstract:
Agriculture in the era of global crises faces multifaceted challenges driven by climatic changes, technological advancements, and geopolitical shifts. This study examines the sustainability of agrifood systems by conducting an extensive literature review, analyzing statistical data from international organizations, and performing content analysis of relevant texts. The research highlights the dual impact of these challenges: while climate-induced extreme weather events and geopolitical instabilities threaten agricultural productivity and food security, digital transformation and innovative agro-technologies offer viable solutions to enhance system resilience. Special emphasis is placed on the role of digitalization in optimizing resource use and production efficiency, as well as the adaptation of government strategies to emerging economic and environmental conditions. The findings yield actionable recommendations to mitigate climate risks and reinforce global food security, charting a pathway toward a more sustainable future for the agro-food sector.
