Abstract:
The study focused on the effect of corporate reputation on organizational performance of telecommunication firms in Delta State. The specific objectives of the study are to determine the effect of corporate image on organizational performance of telecom firms in Delta State Nigeria and to examine the effect of corporate identity on organizational performance of telecom firms in Delta State Nigeria. Descriptive survey research design was adopted. The population of the study was the lower, middle and top management staff of MTN staff Asaba Delta State Nigeria. Their total number of staff was about two hundred and eighty (280). Sample size was determined using Taro Yamani formula which resulted to one hundred and four (165). A stratified sampling technique was used to select the respondents. Method of data used was collected from primary and secondary sources, using questionnaire as the research instrument. There after the extracted data were subjected to statistical analysis. The results show that there is significant effect between corporate image and organizational performance; also, that there is a significant effect between corporate identity and organizational performance. From the finding recommendation were made among others that business organizations should make it a habit to gauge the public's perceptions, particularly those of their existing and potential consumers (market), in order to determine their "current image," which will eventually combine to build their overall corporate image
