Abstract:
Technology has radically transformed the concept of poetry. The poem is no longer confined to paper, but has become a digital object that takes shape in virtual space, where words merge with images and sounds to create an interactive sensory experience. Virtual reality allows the poet to build parallel worlds that the recipient experiences with all his senses, transforming abstract feelings into tangible dimensions. The poet is no longer the sole creator, but rather participates with the reader in formulating the text through "interactive poetry" that allows for modifying texts and adding images, creating new meanings. Nevertheless, human emotion remains the essence of poetry, whether digital or traditional, as technology is a tool to deepen the experience, not to cancel it out. Literary history attests that the Americans Michael Joyce and Robert Kandel were pioneers of the digital transformation in literature and poetry during the eighties and nineties. Despite questions about the impact of technology on the authenticity of poetry, the text confirms that it expands the horizons of expression, as the poem today is not just words, but a living space that grows with the reader's interaction. Thus, the digital age reshapes poetry as an existential experience, in which the boundaries between imagination and reality dissolve, so that the human spirit remains an essence that technology cannot eliminate.
