Abstract:
Sustainability has become a central focus in global agribusiness, with increasing emphasis on environmentally responsible practices that ensure long-term economic viability. Ecopreneurship, which integrates entrepreneurship with ecological consciousness, plays a vital role in driving sustainability within the agrifood industry. This study explores the impact of ecopreneurship on sustainability, considering both economic and environmental indicators. A cross-sectional survey research design was employed, covering 384 agripreneurs operating in the agrifood industry. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, regression analysis for quantitative insights and thematic analysis for qualitative evaluation. The findings reveal that environmental knowledge, eco-commitment, and eco-innovation significantly and positively impact sustainability. The study concludes that ecopreneurship is a crucial driver of sustainable growth in the agrifood industry, as it enhances environmental responsibility while ensuring economic viability. A key recommendation is that stakeholders should invest in eco-innovation by providing funding, training, and incentives for agrifood enterprises to adopt sustainable technologies and environmentally friendly practices. The study's findings highlight the need for stronger government policies and industry-wide collaboration to promote eco-friendly entrepreneurship, thereby contributing to the long-term sustainability of the agrifood industry.
