Abstract:
This study looks into the revolutionary impact of digital twins (DTs) and synthetic sensing (SS) on human resource management (HRM), establishing HR as a strategic business partner. A systematic literature review was undertaken, examining peer-reviewed articles published between 2018 and 2024 and retrieved from Scopus, Web of Science, IEEE Xplore, and PubMed. The analysis finds that DTs and SS provide considerable benefits, such as enabling proactive decision-making through scenario simulations and real-time insights, improving privacy protection using synthetic data, and promoting strategic HR alignment with business goals. The paper also notes important problems, such as complications in data integration, the danger of bias in synthetic data, and ethical issues over employee surveillance.
