Abstract:
The education paradigm brings changes in 21st century learning. 21st century learning makes educators as facilitators and demands active participation of students in building knwledge through creative and innovative learning. Creative and innovative learning encourages learners to become independent learners. One of the creative and innovative learning learning models is Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) learning model. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of the application of Auditory Intellectually Repetition (AIR) model on student learning outcomes in history subjects. Quantitative approach designed with quasi experimental design, pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design was used to verify the effect of both variables. This research was conducted on grade XI students at SMA Negeri 3 Jember with a population of 176 students. The sample selection used probability sampling technique. The research sample was obtained through homogeneity test consisting of class XI-6 as the experimental class with Auditory Intellectually Repetition model treatment and class XI-10 as the control class with Visual Auditory Kinesthetic model treatment. Data collection techniques used documentation and tests. Data were analyzed using ANCOVA assisted by SPSS 24 for windows software. The ANCOVA test results showed a significance value of 0.001 (0.001 ? 0.05), meaning that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The amount of influence is included in the large effect category based on Cohen's categorization with a partial eta squared value of 0.355. The average value in the experimental class reached 88.848 and the control class 79.552. Thus, it can be concluded that the AIR learning model has a significant effect on students' learning outcomes in history subjects.
