Abstract:
The main purpose of this study is to investigate how students' academic performance was influenced by the use of ICT in Araling Panlipunan instruction. Carried out in public elementary schools of Kadingilan District 1 of the Division of Bukidnon. Complete enumeration was employed thus, all students in Grade 6 enrolled in the school year 2024-2025 participated in the study. Students' academic performance was categorized using DepEd grading norms, and data was collected using a validated self-assessment questionnaire. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics and earson's correlation coefficient. The results showed that students perceived ICT integration as very helpful for learning, expanding information availability, encouraging creativity, and improving participation in class activities. While some needed further help, most students showed high to very high academic proficiency. Nevertheless, statistical research revealed no significant relationship between ICT integration and academic performance, indicating that although ICT improves the learning process, other elements like motivation, study habits, and the efficiency of the teacher are more important for academic success. Based on these results, the study concludes that while ICT is a useful teaching tool, its effects are greatest when paired with good teaching practices. Enhancing teacher ICT training, creating organized school ICT integration plans, and encouraging students to use ICT responsibly are some of the recommendations. Schools must continue and enhance the use of digital tools in teaching Araling Panlipunan, especially considering Teachers must have access to continuous professional development to improve their ability to use technology as a transformative teaching tool rather than merely as an adjunct. Multimedia materials, collaborative platforms, and interactive digital content can all be included to enhance the educational process and maintain students' interest. Future studies should look at other aspects that affect ICT efficacy as well as its long-term effects on schooling. Stakeholders may optimize ICT's potential to improve learning outcomes in Araling Panlipunan by putting these suggestions into practice.
