Abstract:
This capstone project developed and evaluated a remote-controlled floor sweeper to enhance classroom cleanliness. Designed with cost-effective materials like DC motors and lithium-ion batteries, the sweeper achieved an 80-94% cleaning efficiency, effectively removing dust and debris while navigating obstacles. It operated optimally for 1.5 hours before there was a slight decline in performance due to battery exhaustion. The device offers a practical, user-friendly, and efficient cleaning solution designed specifically for educational institutions. Future improvements include enhanced obstacle navigation and extended battery life, making it a viable innovation for maintaining hygiene in working settings.
