Abstract:
Invasive molar pregnancy can progress to gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) and, in rare cases, lead to life-threatening vascular complications such as uterine arteriovenous fistulas (AVFs). Presentation: We report a 28-year-old woman with a complete hydatidiform mole who developed persistent GTN. Imaging revealed myometrial invasion and uterine AVFs, along with pulmonary nodules.Management: Due to high hemorrhagic risk, uterine artery embolization was performed prior to initiating low-risk methotrexate chemotherapy. Conclusion: This case highlights the need for vigilant post-molar follow-up and the importance of recognizing vascular complications like AVFs for safe and timely management.
