Abstract:
We report the case of a 22-year-old primigravida with no notable medical or surgical history, in whom a diagnosis of exencephaly was made at 14 weeks of amenorrhea during a routine prenatal ultrasound. Given the lethal nature of this neural tube defect, the patient opted for a medical termination of pregnancy (TOP). This case highlights the importance of early prenatal diagnosis of lethal congenital anomalies and the role of structured and multidisciplinary management in such scenarios.
