Abstract:
: Pediatric radial neck fractures are challenging to treat. Multiple strategies exist for reduction and fixation however, there is no clear consensus on the most effective surgical technique to achieve optimal reduction. Open reduction techniques are associated with complications such as elbow stiffness and avascular necrosis. Consequently, closed or percutaneous reduction methods are generally preferred. Nevertheless, these approaches can be technically demanding, and only a limited number of attempts are recommended. Repeated manipulations may increase the risk of iatrogenic injury, bleeding, and postoperative stiffness, often prompting the need to convert to open techniques when initial efforts are unsuccessful.
