Abstract:
This study investigates the impact of inclusive leadership on organizational diversity and performance, with a particular focus on the mediating role of diversity in this relationship. Drawing on survey data from 365 employees across 10 organizations in Nigeria (response rate: 83%), the research employs a multi-model regression analysis to explore these dynamics. The findings demonstrate that inclusive leadership not only directly enhances organizational performance but also fosters greater workplace diversity, which in turn further strengthens performance outcomes. Importantly, the study reveals that diversity acts as a significant mediator, amplifying the positive effects of inclusive leadership. These results contribute to the growing body of literature on inclusive leadership by providing empirical evidence that diversity is not merely a byproduct of inclusive practices, but a critical mechanism through which leadership influences organizational success. The research offers valuable insights for organizational leaders and policymakers seeking to enhance performance by cultivating inclusive work environments that value and leverage diversity. Practical implications suggest that leadership development programs should emphasize inclusive behaviors, while organizational strategies should actively promote diversity to maximize performance benefits.
