Abstract:
: The global FinTech industry has experienced significant growth, with key projects developing the financial sector. In Saudi Arabia, an initiative under the Financial Sector Development Program was lunched as part of Saudi Vision 2030. Since then, the evolvement and engagement over the years have only increased to reach new potential for economic diversification and innovation, but greater goals come with an even greater risks and difficulties and greater effort to fill the gaps in the fintech ecosystem. One of the most common operational risks is information security that is considered to be a growing threat to the entire financial system. This research aims to gain a deeper understanding of the evolving financial technology and associated information security threats and explore security infrastructure to build a solid foundation for the purpose of enabling advancements in the FinTech industry.
