Abstract:
Abstract: The study aimed to determine the factors that influence teacher retention in select private schools in Pampanga. A descriptive quantitative approach was utilized by the researchers to gather the factors that influence teacher retention. Additionally, the data from the respondents were gathered using researcher-made questionnaires. Also, this study used random sampling to determine the sixty (60) teachers from the selected private schools. The collected data were analyzed using both descriptive statistical analysis: mean, standard deviation, frequency, and percentage, and Inferential statistics, specifically Multiple Linear Regression. Findings revealed that job satisfaction, specifically workload and professional development influenced teachers' retention in private school. Therefore, respondents decided to stay teaching in private schools despite not having enough salary and benefits because they were satisfied with other areas of their jobs, namely, quantity of work and opportunities for professional growth. Future elementary teachers will get an insight into the main factors behind why private educators are choosing to stay despite facing negative circumstances, and this study can help school administrators design successful strategies and policies that promote teacher satisfaction. Additionally, by conducting this study, they will be able to address issues and concerns to improve the learning environment.
