Abstract:
This article presents a systematic literature review regarding the practices and dynamics of religious diversity in Sodong Hamlet, Sampung District, Ponorogo Regency. Indonesia is known for its extraordinary diversity, and Sodong Hamlet is an example of a community that is able to establish inter-religious harmony in daily life. Through a qualitative research analysis that emphasizes the values of tolerance, interfaith dialogue, and the role of religious and traditional leaders, this article explores the factors that contribute to social harmony in the village. It also highlights cultural and structural barriers, such as resistance to interdenominational activities and the lack of an official forum for multicultural education. Amid challenges such as intolerance and radicalism, the people of Sodong Hamlet demonstrate that local wisdom, religious leadership and social norms can be a strong foundation in building harmonious diversity. The findings of this study confirm the importance of strengthening multicultural practices locally to maintain the stability of diverse societies in Indonesia.
