Abstract:
This study aims to investigate the effect of self-efficacy on learners' academic achievement. Self-efficacy as part of learners' psychological condition affects the extent to which learners are ready and able to receive, process, and respond to the learning provided. Self-efficacy is often overlooked in the implementation of learning. Meanwhile, various empirical studies show that self-efficacy contributes significantly to cognitive competencies that determine students' academic achievement. Not many studies have systematically synthesized the results of research on the influence of self-efficacy on academic achievement through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) scheme. This study uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method in an effort to answer the research question of how self-efficacy affects students' academic achievement. The results concluded that self-efficacy has a positive influence on students' academic achievement, both directly and through the relationship with other supporting factors as a mediator of the influence of self-efficacy on academic achievement. The relationship that occurs between self-efficacy and academic achievement is not only one-way, but also reciprocal, meaning that self-efficacy and academic achievement influence each other.
