Abstract:
The adoption of the credit-module system in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan represents a significant shift toward modernizing academic structures and aligning them with international standards, particularly the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). This reform emphasizes student-centered learning, flexibility in course selection, and greater academic transparency. The study explores the key achievements following the system's implementation, including enhanced curriculum design, improved student mobility, the promotion of independent learning, and competency-based assessment practices. These advancements have contributed to raising the quality of higher education in Uzbekistan and preparing students for global academic and professional environments. Despite initial challenges, the credit-module system continues to foster innovation and efficiency across universities nationwide.
