Abstract:
Improving the quality of learning is essential, as it directly affects the competencies of graduates. Such improvement can only occur when every learning activity is followed by evaluations aimed at enhancing educational programs. The Hindu Religious Education Study Program, particularly in the Educational Statistics course, continues to strive toward this goal. An evaluation of formative test items in Semester IV A2 Denpasar was conducted using the Item Response Theory (IRT) approach, utilizing Ministep software version 4.8.2.0. This research is empirical, employing a descriptive quantitative method. The analysis revealed several key aspects: a) person and item interactions, b) item validity, c) student ability, d) test difficulty level, and e) potential bias in item construction. The results of this study will serve as a reference for further improvements in learning quality, particularly in the development of standardized test items, enhancement of data-based learning evaluation, and improving lecturers' competencies in conducting formative assessments using technology.
