Abstract:
This paper introduces an expert system for diagnosing sprained ankles using CLIPS, a rule-based programming tool. By simulating clinical diagnostic reasoning, the system classifies ankle sprains into three grades based on symptoms. The research discusses the methodology, knowledge representation, and system evaluation. Preliminary testing indicates high accuracy and efficiency, showcasing the potential of artificial intelligence in medical diagnostics.
