Abstract:
This article explores migrating relational databases to MongoDB, a document-oriented NoSQL database for academic document management. It explores the flexibility, scalability, and performance benefits of the MongoDB DBMS over relational databases. The article also highlights the use of decision trees for the detection of fake academic papers. By combining MongoDB's capabilities for managing unstructured data and machine learning algorithms for fraud detection, this study offers an innovative approach to improve the security and integrity of academic documents (certificate of attendance, transcripts). The outcomes show that migrating to MongoDB allows for more efficient management of academic documents, while decision trees offer a reliable method for identifying fake documents.
