Abstract:
This article highlights the importance of modern geoinformation systems (GIS) technologies in the effective management and mapping of irrigated lands. The author analyzed the methodology for creating maps of irrigated lands using GIS technologies and described in detail the stages of geodetic measurements, GNSS systems, remote sensing of the Earth (DMZ), data collection based on statistical and cartographic sources, their processing in the ArcGIS 10.6 program, and the preparation of maps in digital form. Also, attributive and semantic data used in compiling electronic maps of irrigated lands, methods of their analysis through software, and two types of publication of final maps - traditional and interactive forms are presented. The study shows the effectiveness of the introduction of modern technologies in the conditions of Uzbekistan.
